Up of Da Date just looks like two Dates merging into one, lolz.

Well, I wrote something today (Monday 4/21) and have not written much since the last update. I could blame work and the hours I have been getting. I could blame the fluctuating weather that mostly leans to cold. I could blame my obsessive watching of anime. I have a lot of blame but ultimately, I did not write very much this week and it boils down to my motivation to write.

The current writing project I’m working on at least got a new chapter today (just shy of 3000 words) and on Sunday, Zach and I went over one of the chapters for this project. And that’s about it. I have not been on Bluesky at all because I’m not a fan of social media.

Truth be told, come May, I have to change things up a bit. The long bouts of dead space I see in my writing journal have been bogus. And I still have not made any decision of what project I have on the burner to make as the next blog story. And I would like to do one in the future, releasing each chapter a week.

AND, and this is a big [[[and]]], I would like to do some spring cleaning this May. I would like to blame other things but my own willpower is just so blah this year. Since my rump got healed from being roasted, I have been really unmotivated to do anything. I’m considering making some changes that could help make me more productive. But productivity is a fickle thing and can happen but that spark to get started is the biggest hurdle.

Well, one positive thing I can say is that I am being productive every week thanks to the blog update and writing a chapter for my current project.

This week has been a blur, probably because Easter was coming up and I had a fully stacked week at work. I honestly cannot remember what anime I watched this week. I know I watched the current episode of season 2 of “I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years and Maxxed Out My Level” and I’m enjoying the continued laid back adventures of Azusa and friends.

Geez, seriously, what did I watch this week? I mean, I could check the watch history feed on Crunchyroll.

Oh yeah, “Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious” was a fun comedy anime though it got super serious and sentimental at the last 2 episodes which was a bit jarring.

“Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf” is a romance isekai that’s very cute and fun but I went in thinking the Elf would get isekai’ed into Japan and it would become an info anime about Japanese culture. It does that a little bit but mostly focuses on the adventures the two leads have both in Japan and the fantasy world.

“Aharen-san wa Hakarenai” has a new season and as a fan of “Komi Can’t Communicate” this is a cute little anime to get my fix of awkward protages that try to navicate through life with the help of friends. There is no dub update for the current season so watching it sub is a little weird for me, since I had watched it dub in full. Still, I’m enjoying the ride.

“A Place Further than the Universe” is all about 4 high school girls joining an expedition to Antarctica and their friendship grows along the way. It’s been a nice anime to fall asleep to but the drama does get pretty serious and heartbreaking.

“I May Be a Guild Receptionist but I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time” has a dubbed anime that I’m more than halfway through with it. I picked up the first volume of the light novel but haven’t gotten around to reading it. That title is just so good, pure light novel ridiculousness right there and it's wonderful. And you feel the protage’s motivation, especially for me with all the hours I have been getting lately. I have yet to reach overtime but clocking out on time is a feeling most people who work always reach for.

“The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl” is a fun fantasy anime where a meek and shy girl gets super strength and becomes a knight by mistake. It’s currently being released weekly and so far, episode three has sold me on this. Not sure if it will get a dub but its well deserving of one.

“Maebashi Witches” is a new anime that I keep asking myself, why am I watching this again? Oh, because it's adorable and sometimes I enjoy magical girl stuff. Although, I will admit, I’m not a fan of the whole Idol thing and when the girls sing and dance, I space out and look at my phone. I’m expecting a horror twist with this anime that I know is not coming but still hoping for. “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” has ruined this genre for me forever and I keep hoping for a dark twist that might not happen. But it could.

Currently, I’m really into this one anime called “Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary”. Its about two high school freshmen who are super smart and both strive to become detective someday. So far, they have not solved any big serious stuff. Like, who at this piece of cake was a full episode but it was played out as a light-hearted yet serious detective drama. It might be my bedtime anime soon, if I don’t watch through it all.

You know, if Crunchyroll did not have the history of what I watch, I would not have remembered most of what I just typed. Also, this was not originally supposed to be an anime blog. But it slowly has become one. LOLz!

Anyway, I’m an hour in of writing this and need to get something to eat. We shall see how this week though but I have full hours and its going to rain all week. At least I’ve been getting my steps in, gotta keep active. Don’t want to root into my chair from all the anime I’ve been watching.

Good Luck and can you solve the mystery of who at my slice of cake?

PS: It was me, I ate my own slice of cake. It was carrot and super yum 😋
