Meh is a good word. Sums up ennui perfectly.
Feeling pretty MEH!

So, yeah, no writing and here is why: I got in touch again with mycomicshop with my list and they emailed me back on Thursday. The thing is, the representative I was communicating with basically asked me to record my comics for sale on mycomicshop’s site.

So, instead of writing, I did that on my day off. And I’m kind of getting exhausted with these darn comics. Because mycomicshop has a “want list” and by recording the comics on their site, it states whether they are interested in the comic or not. And I had recorded about 850 issues and only 150 are on the want list.

A bit disheartening that barely a fit of what I had recorded so far. And I still am on the Ds, finished DC comics but stopped before Dynamite. And I have said my piece with how much I had of Dynamite. I still had plenty to record and while a little salty, I will get back to it soon.

I am writing this blog on Monday just because. Monday, after a work shift. Not sure what I’m doing right now but typing away. I am also so into this one Podcast “It Was A Sh*t Show” on behind the scenes history of movies. I had listened to this podcast all throughout making my comics for sale list and I’m basically four podcasts away from finishing all of their content. Good podcast, recommend to anyone into movie history.

I’m thinking of emailing some of the local comic stores in my area in hopes they can take some of these comics off my hands. It is a shot in the dark, because I have a lot of comics to sell and this day and age is not kind to the comic industry. I would not blame any comic shop to avoid purchasing more stock that will be difficult to move. I mean, I still do not know what is happening with Diamond Distributors after their bankruptcy.

Honestly, I know physical print will always be a thing but digital is the way to go with comics these days. I have so many boxes that could have been just on an account without filling up so much space. The problem is that I have an interest in comics from the 80s and 90s and those have not been digitized yet. A lot of these comics are only ever going to be in print. No one is crazy enough to digitize something like Neal Adam’s Continuity Comics or Jim Shooter’s Defiant or Broadway. Well . . . maybe there are hyperfans who have scanned these 90s DANK comics and put them on line. But I’m not digging deep in the dark web to confirm if obscura like Malibu Comics and NOW Comics and other long forgotten 90s Pulp exists digitally.

I should do articles on comics, publishers, titles, and characters. But that will be for the future, once I am done trying to sell the stuff that does not interest me. At least get these comics gone before I talk myself into keeping them again.

My stomach is saying things to me. Probably should get dinner . . . then more comics.

Good Luck and always eat before doing a blog,

—BUCK

PS: It is super nice outside, the nicest it has been in a while. It’s not 90 degrees and stifling. Nice gentle breeze and cool temps with the sun still out. I’m thinking of going out after writing the blog. And I have to admit, I’m looking forward to fall. It is my favorite season. Just hope I do not have any heater mishaps this November 😛
