[This Joker is so Heath Ledger]
I love ashcans but I have so many!

So, another neutral week, which I am okay with. Did some yard work after work again. Finally, FINALLY, got to cataloging comics. I’m 4 boxes into the Indies and still have . . . a lot to go. I’ve got 90 or so Free Comic Book Day Issues to sort out and include in the catalogue. Hopefu

lly I can include those when I’m selling the rest.

Obviously, with investing my time into comics and outdoor stuff, I haven't gotten around to writing again. Which I should be salty about. But for now, I’m not. I did make a vow not to play video games or have any anime marathons until all the comics I am selling have been catalogued. So, when eliminating those big distractions for now, on top of this comic book project likely going to take some time, I will get back into writing, eventually.

I’m going to see the new Fantastic Four movie today (7/28) and . . . I am kind of excited but I’m also still amazed how much fun Superman earlier in the month was. So, I’m hoping the F4 movie will be fun too and not all dower and serious and riddled with continuity upkeep with the MCU. Comic book movies just need to be fun. In a post-Endgame world, that is all I ask for. We had our big comic book movie event back in 2019 with Avengers: Endgame and we really do not need another earthshattering movie event.

Just have fun with this goofy nonsense. Comic book movies are based on COMICBOOKS! I have gone through several issues of obscure 90s indie schlock and it’s all so very silly. I know studios are putting millions into these movies but please, if you are going to put that kind of money, time, and effort into a piece of entertainment . . . please . . .

MAKE IT FUN! 😜

And I am an easy mark for comic book movies. I like anime for crying out loud and all I need is to have fun! I don’t know why I’m just rambling right now but F4 has been so hyped I cannot help but be cynical now. And I did see a DC movie that I actually had fun with. So, crossing fingers I will have fun with F4 🤞

I really need to write something. I’m enjoying typing again without doing tedious cataloging. This is a funny little thing to do. I actually do look forward to doing these blogs. Last couple of update entries I have been meh and kind of blah but still like doing these blogs.

When these freaking comics are finally gone and I’ve been away from gaming and anime for a time, I should get motivated back into writing for fun again. Fun! I remember that and would like to have some again.

Before I close out, I’m going to share some screenshots of various comic shenanigans I found that gave me a chuckle.

[From Oz Squad, Scarecrow saves baby]
This got a tee-hee out of me.

[From Mr. Hero, last issue, woman screaming at Evil Dino CEO]
Oh 90s, I miss you and your Barney 🙄

[From Bloodfire, the flammable blood]
Because that’s how blood works! 🩸🔥

This is just a taste of the insanity that stares at me on a daily basis. And I had thought about reviewing some of this madness and making blog reviews but if I’m going to put my time and effort into something like that, I want to review stuff I’m actually interested in. Like 90s Valiant or the whole mess that was Neal Adam’s Continuity comics. There are so many comics and only so much time to invest into the hobby.

It is surprisingly easy to get comics but it is unlikely to read them all in a lifetime. And I came to the conclusion that no matter how interesting some of these comics might be, reading such a massive collection is a time investment. And I said no more and it's time for this ridiculous stuff to go. At least this chuck that I am cataloguing . . . wish me luck.

Good Luck and it’s still nice outside but so humid and DANK!
