Well, a week has gone by and I haven't done any writing. Since a coworker went on vacation on Tuesday, I have been working Tuesday to . . . the following Tuesday. Which is today and hmmm . . . since I did not write, what to talk about?
I have been good at keeping my gaming time to a limit. Loop Hero and Fallout Shelter have helped keep me awake these past few days. For I am tired, very tired. I tried to write after the first couple of work shifts and I . . . almost fell asleep and sleeping during the day always throws my sleep schedule off and I could not afford to do that.
So, to stay awake I gamed and I had limited Loop Hero to one hour and Fallout Shelter to one and a half hours with Fallout Shelter. And while I had gone to the limit with Loop Hero, Fallout Shelter I had been averaging around 45 to 50 minutes.
Loop Hero my goal is to stock up on my favorite boost items and see how crazy OP anime-esque I can make Loop Man. And my number one favorite item is called the scythe that does 3% of the base damage as damage to all. And I have stacked enough scythe that I am around 280% or so which is insane. Powerful hordes just turned to dust to the might of Loop Man, he had become death!
I just enjoy playing Loop Hero while marathoning through the podcast “Escape from Vault Disney”. While I am a little peeved with myself for not writing in a week, after a long day of work an hour of gaming while listening to a favorite podcast is a nice way to unwind.
As for Fallout Shelter, the current count is at 132 Dwellers with 84 being born from Macdaddy Morgan. Quick math, 63.64% of my vault is from this one man and two women. I am surprised that such a mechanic is seemingly unlimited. You would think there would be a limit to how many babies could come from the same Dweller.
It took me an embarrassingly long time to find the status charts in the options to get those numbers. And according to the status, I have only been playing Fallout Shelter for 21 hours since 6/12. I am kind of bum that, so far, I can’t have a Deathclaw as a pet. I’ve got kitties and puppies and death bots but no Deathclaw. I feel like after 10 years, mutant animals should be pets you could unlock. I’m not going to look into this, because I want to be surprised when I go get a Deathclaw as a pet.
So, that is it for gaming.
I have been watching anime but not as much as I usually would. “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” has been a great show for meal time. Beyond that, I have not been watching much consistently to give any cohesive thoughts. Working a long, long week will do that do, FRied 🧠 all the way.
I will mention something surreal that happened to me while watching an anime. I have been reading the light novel series before bed, “I Have Been Killing Slime for 300 Years and Maxxed Out My Level” and I was watching an episode of season 2. Season 2 has recently come out and each episode has been based on a chapter I had read a while ago. However . . .
I was reading a chapter in Volume 8 and for once, some action happened. The lead got roped into the drama between two goddesses and had to get in the middle of the fight. It is epic by this series standards, because it mostly focuses heavily on slice of life and chilling out. So this chapter was exciting and I read the whole thing before finally falling asleep.
Then . . . no kidding, a couple days later, the next episode of season two I watched just so happened to be based on that goddess fight chapter. It is surreal to read something then immediately watch it translated to other media. And the episode came out very recently, like a week before I finished the goddess fight chapter.
Volume 8 of the series came out on March 12, 2021 and the goddess fight episode in Japan came out on June 14, 2025. So, a little more than four years after the chapter was adapted into an anime. That’s a pretty good turn around. I know little about animation but I do know it is hard and really, really time consuming. So, I am thanking the good people of the animation studio for giving me a surreal experience, four years in the making 👍
And . . . . honestly, I got nothing else. This blog was fun to write but I am so out of my brain right now. My turn for vacation time is coming up. I so want to write something, of any kind, and maybe do something for the blog, for once 🙄.
Good Luck and I wonder what fried brain taste like?

PS: I ordered the starter kit for the official Fallout Tabletop RPG from Modiphius. Not sure where this is going to go. I pretty much have fallen out of interest with Call of Cthulhu (for now). And thanks to Fallout Shelter, my interest in the Wasteland has risen. And after the Dungeon Crawl Classics session, my interest in tabletop RPG has piqued again. At the very least, the tokens and Fallout themed dice will be cool additions to the dice tray pics.
