Update 2025 / 10 / 15

So, this is it, the final WEEKLY Update Blog. Yes, I have made my mind up to make these update blogs for every first Wednesday of the month. 11 / 5 will be the next update blog and hopefully, I will remember to make a notification when to do the month’s update blog. Crossing fingers I’m diligent enough to do that.

Honestly, they have been fun to do monthly but it has become increasingly more challenging to make something relevant. After several months of ennui and “meh”, I really do not want to do silly rants about how I am not writing . . . by writing in the blog. I will say that the blogs did keep me sharp with writing, to a degree.

I have been writing still recently, for more than two straight weeks. The streak ended recently during one of my days off due to a certain goal I had. And I accomplished it! I did 40,000 steps in a day. I actually did the 40k goal last year too, back before the site was made. In fact, I remember doing the 40k as catharsis after all the frustration making a site. Ha! Good time!

I do recommend people giving a high step goal a shot. Maybe not 40k and also give yourself a day to recover. I am a little sore but not really in any pain. And I have to say, I did go out after doing the 40k and I only did close to 1,500 steps additional while out. It is amazing how few steps a human can do while doing errands.

Anyway, I still need to think of something to do weekly for the site. Updates aside, I could do any number of things that would challenge me to be, you know, creative and such. I work retail and my schedule is often all over the place. So I was thinking of coming up with an adventure story with its chapters being short blogs. Yes, I am actually thinking about resurrecting my story blog idea and if I do this, I could make a handful of chapters on a day off and schedule them throughout the coming weeks.

I have so many dice, I could talk about them on occasions. Or I could use them to randomly generate the events in the weekly story, that could be interesting, hmmm.

Their exclusive dice are perfect for randomly generating an adventure. I may get more from their catalogue to really make this something interesting. And they would be cool additions to my collections. Hmmm. I could get lost here at their site. I swear, dice are my weakness, must-look-away! LOOK-AWAY!

Anyway, I wanted to make this a brief blog and spend time making the one year anniversary blog. So, as a reminder, it has been fun but these updates will now be monthly. I feel a little relieved doing this but also a little sad. It has been a good run.
